"Mondler" - The Best Couple On TV


For F.R.I.E.N.D.S fans, deciding upon who the best couple on the show still remains a bone of contention. For some its Ross and Rachel and for others its Monica and Chandler. I belong to the “others” part of the above statement.

Yes, Ross and Rachel were perfect and Mon and Chan were not! And that s what exactly makes their chemistry strong. The first time I thought they could make an awesome couple was when I watched the episode in season 1 where Carol’s having Ross’s baby. There is a scene where Mon is emotional about being single. That is when Chandler proposes of marrying her if neither of them is married by the time they are 40! I thought that was very sweet of him.



The 4th season again has a scene where Mon is again emotional for being single (having been broken off with her billionaire boyfriend Pete). That’s when Chan says something like “worse comes to worse, I ll be your boyfriend”.. (I went “awwwwww…”)! I mean Mon laughs hysterically when he says that but the woman marries him in the 8th season..  

So my point is, they never thought they were perfect for each other but that is the beauty of it – Love. I loved the episode in 5th season where Phoebe and Rachel play with Monica and Chandler because they know about their secret affair. It was really heartwarming to see Chandler realize that he is in love with Mon.


Chandler could be the most unsuitable man for Mon because they are so different. While she is the mother hen of the group, Chan is always using sarcasm on them. While she is so neat and sophisticated, he is one of those cheesy and ignorant types. Opposites do attract, don’t they? ;)


My favorite season of all is the 6th season. Especially the last episode. It is the best proposal scene in the history of TV. It is a general perception that a girl proposing to a boy is pathetic but this one scene wronged the whole notion. It was very sweet to see Mon kneeling down forChandler. I loved Chandler’s words when he says he wants to make Monica feel happier like she did to him. I cry every time I watch the scene (Yeah, I know.. Women and Proposals!).

You can see Chandler’s love for Monica growing every season. I mean the 9th season episode wherein he is trying to tell Erica how much in dire need they are of her services, is a proof for it. I so wished there was no surrogacy involved and they could have a biological child of their own. But hey, a show is a show :D. It is supposed to have such moments !


Anyways, the bottom line is, you never know how Love hits you. But if its in the form of your best friend you are LUCKY. I mean, only the fortunate can have such a love written in their destiny.  So I dedicate this post to  F.R.I.E.N.D.S, to MONDER and the love they shared..

The Most Important Groupies of All Times

The Rock n Roll storm of the 60s was a much needed revolution in the music history which gave us many great bands and musicians the world segments as “legends” today. Jodie Sweetin is back, you guys!

Three and a half years ago, I wrote a post about Jodie Sweetin and other child stars who went through traumas growing up. Little did I know, Jodie would be back with a bang! Because Full House is a syndicated show and I possess all 8 seasons of it in my hard disk (Thanks Susie !), I am frequently re-watching the show to kill boredom (or to feel good that I was born to a beautifully calm gen). And also I am a very huge fan of Stephanie Tanner that it border-lines on obsession sometimes! I was always keen on seeing where the girls of Full House would end up as grown-ups. And like most of the child stars of 90s, Hollywood wasn't generous on them. While Jodie and Candace continued to act, Andrea Barber left the whole scene to go live a conventional house wife life. I dont want this to look like a biased opinion of a Jodie loyalist, but she was special. She was not only a Grade A actress, but also a talented dancer and singer.
